I'm Akaanksha Sinha, but you can call me AK. For over ten years, I've immersed myself in the world of cybersecurity and privacy, a field I'm deeply passionate about. Currently, I'm a Senior Program Manager at IBM, focusing on Cybersecurity Audit and Compliance. My role? To make sure our services are not just top-notch, but also secure, compliant, and ready for any audit that comes our way. My journey in cybersecurity has been diverse and enriching. I've dabbled in everything from project management and risk assessment to IT support, security infrastructure, and, more recently, delving into the intricacies of security architecture. I've had the privilege of working across various sectors, including healthcare, technology services, and finance. In these roles, I've been the go-to person for clients, both within and outside our organization, helping them tackle complex cybersecurity issues, from unearthing vulnerabilities to strategizing against potential threats. Before landing at IBM, I gathered valuable experience and insights working with teams at Deloitte and Techleaders Consulting. On the academic front, I earned my Bachelor of Technology in IT from ITM University, India, and later pursued a Master's in Information Systems with a cybersecurity focus at Baruch College's Zicklin School of Business, CUNY. Along the way, I've also earned triple certification in data privacy, an ISO27001 in data security, and a certification in managing enterprise risk from Harvard. But at the end of the day, it's not just about the certifications or roles. It's about being part of something bigger, about making a difference in the ever-evolving and challenging world of cybersecurity. And that's what keeps me going.
